LIBERTY — Tri Tech USA Inc. hosted a beam-signing celebration Friday to mark the near-completion of a construction project in Pickens County
The company’s new 41,000-square-foot manufacturing building in the Pickens County Commerce Park in Liberty will house more than $4,000,000 worth of technology and at least 40 new employees, according to a statement from Ray Farley with Alliance Pickens.
Tri Tech, a privately owned custom manufacturing and advanced commercial metalworking provider, announced plans to relocate its headquarters from Burlington, Vt., in December 2008.
Farley said the Tri Tech facility is the fifth building to be constructed in Pickens County Commercial Park since 2003. More than 500,000 square feet of new construction has occurred in the park since then, he said.
Farley said the average hourly wage of those working in the new facility will be $17. Employee training will be led by ReadySC at Tri County Technical College.
Job applications are being handled through the South Carolina Employment Security Commission’s Liberty office, officials said.
